安布斯古堡源于法国皇家城堡，极富艺术生命力。法国国王弗郎索瓦一世热衷于艺术，1515年带兵亲征意大利时,被文艺复兴辉煌艺术建筑所折服。于是收纳了一大批文豪和艺术家，其中也不乏意大利知名艺术家拉斐尔、提香、达·芬奇。国王想通过艺术家的双手，把他的寝宫装点成一座意大利式的宫殿。于是这座古堡至今保留了文艺复兴时期的建筑风格，并收藏了众多家居珍品（分别属于哥特，文艺复兴和帝国时期风格）。 The ancient fortress of Abbs originated from the Royal French Castle and is full of artistic vitality. The French King Francois I was passionate about art and was impressed by the magnificent art architecture in Renaissance when he led the army to Italy in 1515. Therefore, he recruited a large number of writers and artists, including many famous Italian artists like Rafael, Titian, Da Vinci and so on. The king wanted the artists to decorate his palace into an Italian palace. Until now，the castle still preserves the architectural style of Renaissance and has a collection of home treasures (the style of Gothic, Renaissance and Empire).
